DESCRIPTION:Every Friday\, from 2-3\, I am leading a singalong from the piano for The Spinney Care Home in Chingford for an hour. The care home caters for older people who have dementia. \nThe songs include such classics as: ‘All My Loving’\, ‘The Green Door’\, Catch a Falling Star’ and so much more. I do a gentle physical and vocal warm-up plus a round. Then we do the songs\, complete with actions and sometimes just humming the tune. \nThis\, of course\, is all followed by a nice cuppa to round things out!

DESCRIPTION:A fun and upbeat male voice choir concert from The Three Valleys Male Voice Choir (cond. Virginia Firnberg) with soloists Alicia Dine – flute/piccolo\, and Roland Gallery – guitar/banjo plus our regular  pianist James Gilder. There will be some lovely sea shanties as well as two Western Cowboy songs! The concert also features several of my own arrangements including: The Leaving of Liverpool; Waterloo Sunset (premiere); Sloop John B and Maybe It’s Because I’m a Londoner (premiere). \n

SUMMARY:The Little Choir of Joy
DESCRIPTION:Most recently\, I was the pianist for the children’s choir ‘The Little Choir of Joy’\, for their performance of  The Magic Flute by W.A.Mozart. It was lovely to work with this group of children and to see how director Maya Sapone expertly wove together the performance. DESCRIPTION:As an East London based freelance musician in lockdown\, I explored what it’s like having to reinvent my job\, in a virtual world\, in a different location and in lockdown.
