Every Friday, from 2-3, I am leading a singalong from the piano for The Spinney Care Home in Chingford for an hour. The care home caters for older people who have dementia.

The songs include such classics as: ‘All My Loving’, ‘The Green Door’, Catch a Falling Star’ and so much more. I do a gentle physical and vocal warm-up plus a round. Then we do the songs, complete with actions and sometimes just humming the tune.

This, of course, is all followed by a nice cuppa to round things out!
