CONCERT AND PRESENTATION
Second performance of my song cycle ‘The Art of Fishing’ (words Luisa Etxenike). Performed by mezzo-soprano Carola Emrich-Fisher and pianist Lara Dodds-Eden. I will begin the event with a presentation about composing the piece.
Set in the Basque country, Spain, the story tells of a grandchild overcoming a sexually abusive grandfather using creativity.
A song-cycle is a set of songs based on a set of thematic poems.
